Kimberly Smithson-Abel Joins Diamond H as Vice President Strategy and Business Development
Leading Industry Expert and Author To Help Drive Company's Growth
FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov 16, 2006) — Kimberly Smithson-Abel has been named Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Diamond H Recognition, a leading provider of total recognition and service award programs.
She joined Diamond H from Prosperiti, a Chicago-based company focused on performance management and total rewards technology, where she served as Vice President of Business Solutions and later as President.

Smithson-Abel is the co-founder of the National Association of Employee Recognition, which is now called Recognition Professionals International (RPI), and is a leading industry author and spokesperson on the subject of enterprise recognition. Her books include "Middle Management; Your Lifeline to Recognition Buy-In," "The Power of Delivering People-Pleasin' Praise," "Six Secrets of Successful Recognition," and "Value of Impact on Recognition Programs."
Prior to joining Prosperiti, she was the founder and served as Vice President of Product Visioning and Performance Services for Cultureworx. Previously she was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Incentive Automation.
She has worked with numerous Fortune 1000 organizations to design and implement workforce recognition systems including: Microsoft, Delta Air Lines, Convergys Corporation, SBC Ameritech, Argonne National Labs, Mercy Memorial Hospital Systems, Cuna Mutual Group, Kohler, Hewlett Packard, Sears Roebuck & Company and many others.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois and an Executive MBA degree from Loyola University in Chicago.
