Introduction

Inspirus recognizes the need for appropriate protections and management for information you provide to us. We are committed to the highest standards in protecting and safeguarding your right to privacy while using and interacting with our web sites. Inspirus has therefore established this Privacy Policy to assist you in understanding how Inspirus collects and uses personally identifiable information about our customers collected on the Inspirus web sites. By using our web sites or providing any personal information using our web sites, you are agreeing to the collection and use of information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

While you can access most areas of our Web sites without submitting any personal data, there are certain areas of our sites that request specific personal information including name and e-mail address. Our intent is to allow you as much control as possible over your personal information.

Data Collection and Usage Overview

Our server software potentially gathers in log files, general demographic information from all users of our Web sites. For each visitor to the Inspirus web sites, our web server may automatically recognize the visitor's domain name, browser type, operating system, referring domains, entry page, exit page, and average time on the web sites. This information is used internally to help us improve our web sites and helps us understand our visitors' needs.  This information may be shared with third party analytics organizations to support collection and reporting to support this process.

We may contract with several online partners to help manage and optimize our Internet business and communications. We may use the services of marketing companies to help us collect and/or log Internet Protocol addresses, Internet domain names, the web browser and operating system used to access the Inspirus web sites, the files visited, the time spent in each file, and the time and date of each visit. We may use Web beacons and cookies provided by our marketing companies. Cookies are identifiers that can be sent from a web site via your browser to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Thereafter, when you visit a web site, a message is sent back to the web server by the browser accessing the web sites. You may elect not to accept cookies by changing the designated settings on your web browser. However, not utilizing cookies may prevent you from using certain functions and features of web sites. The information collected from the use of cookies is used and analyzed to improve our web sites. We use cookies to personalize the experience of our visitors, provide support to customers, record visitor preferences, provide personalized and specialized content, record session information, track visitor clickstream behavior throughout the web sites, and customize site content based on your browser type, operating system, and preferences. By gathering such information to supplement our records, we learn things such as which pages are most attractive to our visitors, which of our products most interest our customers, and what kinds of offers our customers like to see. Although our marketing companies may log the information coming from our sites on our behalf, we control how that data may and may not be used. We may also receive personal information about you from your employer or through your use of our websites for the purposes of running various engagement, milestone, recognition, training, nomination, surveys, and incentive programs.  We may also use this information for governmental and client reporting including tax, invoicing, and account identification.  This information can include, but is not limited to, name, date of birth, date of hire, date of separation, supervisor, employee id, email address, departmental information, home address, and work address.  This information is used within Inspirus in the support of these programs and may be shared with third party partners for order fulfillment and shipping as well as with your employer.

Please be aware that Inspirus may be required to disclose an individual's personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

Email Addresses

We do not collect email addresses without the site visitor or client company voluntarily providing us with this information (typically via our online information request form, data file upload, whitepaper request form, and other Web site forms and surveys). We will periodically use your email information for service, sales, support, and marketing purposes. From time to time, we may share your email address with our partner organizations and companies for service, sales, support, and marketing purposes. If you do not wish to receive marketing email from us or our partners in the future, you may opt out as described below.

EU-U.S. Privacy Shield

Inspirus complies with the EU-U.S Privacy Shield Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from European Union member countries and Switzerland to the United States. Inspirus has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield principles of notice, choice, accountability for onward transfer, security, data integrity, purpose limitation, access, and recourse, enforcement, and liability.   For data transferred from the European Union to the Unites States, if there is any conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Privacy Shield Principals, the Privacy Shield Principals shall govern. Inspirus’ accountability for personal data that it receives under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Privacy Shield Principles. In particular, Inspirus remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if third-party agents that it engages to process the personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless Inspirus proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Inspirus’ participation in the Privacy Shield program applies to all personal data that is subject to the Inspirus Privacy Statement and is received from the European Union, European Economic Area, and Switzerland.  Inspirus will comply with the Privacy Shield Principles in respect of such personal data. Inspirus also maintains an affirmative commitment to the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework and its principles, which will not be affected by our participation in the Privacy Shield.

Privacy Shield Enforcement and Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us should you have a Privacy Shield-related (or general privacy-related) complaint. For any complaints that cannot be resolved with Inspirus directly, Inspirus has chosen to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and comply with the information and advice provided to it by an informal panel of DPAs in relation to such unresolved complaints (as further described in the Privacy Shield Principles). Please contact us to be directed to the relevant DPA contacts. As further explained in the Privacy Shield Principles, a binding arbitration option will also be made available to you in order to address residual complaints not resolved by any other means. Inspirus is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Notification of Privacy Policy Changes

Inspirus may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If Inspirus decides to make material changes in the way we use your personal information, we will post the changes to our web sites so that you will always know what information we collect, how it is used, and when and how it will be disclosed. Your use of the Inspirus web sites following notice of such change will be deemed acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, which may include application of the new policy to information provided prior to the date of such change.

Choice/Opt- Out

If you receive marketing or similar email messages from us and wish to opt-out of receiving such messages, you may simply follow the opt-out procedure specified in such email. In addition, if you have registered on our site, you may opt-out of receiving any future marketing or similar messages by contacting us by regular mail addressed to: Inspirus, Attn: VP of Solutions, 100 N. Right to Access, Update or Delete Information

Individuals within the European Union Member Countries have the right to know what personal information about them is collected and processed by Inspirus and to ensure that such personal information is accurate and relevant for the purposes for which Inspirus collected it. Upon reasonable request and as required by the Privacy Shield principles and Inspirus policies, Inspirus allows these individuals access to their personal information, in order to correct or amend such data where inaccurate. In requesting modifications to their personal information, these individuals must provide only truthful, complete, and accurate information.
