Director of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Products
Inspirus is seeking a new Director of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Products. This person will lead the strategy, requirements gathering and implementation of all technology required to support the data management, analytics and reporting functions of a global employee engagement technology platform. The Director of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Products will work with business stakeholders, clients and external technology partners to drive collaborative business solutions using data reporting, visualization and analytics methodologies. They are responsible for working with internal and external technical resources to ensure the solution is effectively implemented and meets the business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and delivering market leading third party data analytic solutions, implementing data-driven solutions to key stakeholders, and developing best practices that support our client’s need for relevant, intuitive, and actionable data
  • Develop and manage processes that enable integration of advanced reporting and analytics capabilities into the Inspirus Engagement Platform
  • Develop data visualization strategies, metrics, and solutions to drive better decisions
  • Be able to prioritize the work and ensure that the teams have a clearly defined backlog that supports the business priorities and prepare the release plans of product features
  • Verify the fulfilment of requirements having acceptance test sessions with the development teams and communicate continuously with stakeholders, providing updates on projects’ progress, risks and releases
  • Lead a team of resources to deliver the data analytics solution on time, on spec and within budget while providing leadership and direction to direct reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and understand the reporting requirements from a functional perspective, using agile and collaborative techniques for requirements gathering and exploration of best practices to deliver relevant, timely and insightful information to users of our enterprise applications
  • Translate the requirements into user stories, according to the scrum methodology

Education and Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science and/or a business related degree (equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience)
  • 7-10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data warehousing and big data analytics technologies to include analytics visualization
  • 3-5 years of experience in leading the implementation of data analysis and reporting projects, project delivery in a technology environment
  • 7 plus years of extensive enterprise experience, including implementation experience with one or more BI solutions
  • Experience in a corporate technology or consulting environment working with multiple disciplines to deliver projects in line with customer needs.
  • Experience in analyzing data, identifying trends, and building visualizations using data visualization technologies (e.g. Tableau, Domo, Pentaho, Splunk, etc.)
  • Proven experience designing and driving data and analytic solutions
  • Experience with data modeling, logical schema design and data warehouse concepts including techniques for handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Experience with Agile implementation methodologies
  • Experience implementing relational data models and predictive analytics
  • Demonstrated success building, defining and launching products
  • Effective leadership skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships; able to build collaborative partnerships with team and cross-functional business partners.
  • Understands and has used traditional ETL tools and RDBMS
  • Strong knowledge of data and database management systems, with good SQL language skills
  • Experience conceptualizing and designing sophisticated wireframes, workflows, and diagrams
  • Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Effective problem identification and resolution skills
  • Skills to systematically analyze situations and issues, identify options, draw logical conclusions and sound inferences, determine and recommend practical courses of action using innovation, creativity, good judgment and strategic thinking
  • Effective project management and time management skills
  • Experience in SDLC is preferred

Software Developer - Java
The Inspirus technology solutions team is seeking to add an additional Java developer to our local team. As a web application developer, this person will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of web based systems which utilize Java, SQL & MySQL. These systems include multiple internal websites, custom client interfaces and integration with our data providers and clients.  Looking for candidates with 5-7 years of experience who are familiar with Eclipse, Subversion, Tomcat and MySQL Workbench.

Jr. Product Owner
The Inspirus technology solutions team is looking for a dynamic leader who has strong software development and project management to serve as a Junior Software Product Owner. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading technical teams and managing priorities for multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

The Junior Product Owner (business analyst type role) will work with Product Owners to obtain and document business requirements based on market and system needs.  This position helps drive the priorities for the software development team, via the product roadmap which manages defined enhancements, functionality changes and code fixes along the software development life cycle.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a team lead and/or project management position;
  • Proven track record of rapidly learning and working with teams in a variety of product areas;
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative and dynamic team based software development environment.
  • Must have very strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to present concise summaries to executive management;
  • Must have experience developing commercial software  with database access;
  • Experience/familiarity  with Database application programming and reporting products would be an asset;
  • Experience with Agile software development practices would be an asset;
  • PMP certification would be an asset.
