Delta, the Pinnacle of Excellence
Diamond H Recognition congratulates Stephanie Merchiore for her selection as a Delta Chairman's Club Honoree
FORT WORTH, Texas (November 12, 2009) — For the 13th year, Delta Air Lines' Chairman's Club program recognizes employees extra effort. The Chairman's Club program recognizes employees throughout its worldwide operations who consistently demonstrate dedication and determination to the highest standards of service to Delta customers, their co-workers and the communities Delta serves. Each year, employees are eligible for nomination by their peers or managers. The newest 100 honorees were recognized at a gala reception at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on October 29th hosted by Delta's CEO, Richard Anderson, the chairman of the Board of Directors, Daniel A. Carp, and other senior executives.
In 2009, Delta had over 7,000 nominations made for the Chairman's Club pinnacle program. From this selection, 100 Delta team members were selected to be honored as being members of this exclusive club.
This year marked a special occasion in which the new Delta team members from the Northwest merger were able to participate in the program. Over 75,000 employees were able to participate in this pinnacle program, and out of the 100 honorees selected for inclusion in the 2009 Chairman's Club Award, Stephanie Merchiore, Manager of Employee Recognition was selected. Diamond H Recognition would like to congratulate Ms. Merchiore for receiving this honor.
Stephanie was a big component to the merger of recognition programs between Delta and Northwest earlier this year, transitioning approximately 35,000 employees onto Delta's recognition platform. She as well as Delta was recognized earlier this year as the recipient of the 2009 Best Overall Award for Employee Recognition Best Practices from Recognition Professionals International. This award was a proof point for the accomplishments Stephanie and leaders at Delta have made in the area of employee recognition.
"It is a pleasure to work with Mrs. Merchiore. I am not surprised that she was nominated for the Chairman's Club, as she is truly dedicated to supporting and leading employee recognition within Delta," stated Kimberly Abel, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Diamond H Recognition. For these major accomplishments and for her recent placement on the 2009 Chairman's Club list, Diamond H Recognition would like to congratulate Ms. Merchiore.
