2014 Platinum-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite
FORT WORTH, Texas – (Feb. 5 , 2015) Inspirus recently received the Platinum Fit-Friendly Worksite and Worksite Innovation awards, by the American Heart Association, for helping employees eat better and move more. “We are honored to be awarded this status by the American Heart Association and are committed to providing the best workplace environment possible. This will benefit our employees’ health and produce even more positive results for our worksite overall,” says Vice President of Human Resources and Accounting, Lesa Blakey. “Physical activity and employee wellness are important priorities at Inspirus.”
The Fit-Friendly Worksites helps worksites make their employees’ health and well-being a priority. Wellness programs prove time and time again to be an effective way to engage and encourage employees to make healthier lifestyle choices and become more active to fight off heart disease and obesity. At Inspirus we implement our own wellness programs to help our employees lead healthier and more active lives. Throughout the year, Inspirus offers challenges and programs like daily Zumba classes, water challenges, fruit and veggie challenges and our annual Weight Loss Wars to bring awareness to employees about their health and nutrition. Inspirus is dedicated to promoting wellness and encouraging our employees to make healthier choices and become more active. We want to stop heart disease and other ailments in their tracks and keep our employees healthy.
Recognition is a critical component of Fit-Friendly Worksites program. Employers that join this program qualify for official recognition by the American Heart Association. At Inspirus, we also use recognition to encourage our employees to join and be a part of our seminars, challenges and programs. Our goal is to make effective and meaningful changes that promote overall health and improve physical activity.
