Inspirus Honored as a Standout Workplace Five Years in a Row
Named One of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas — (April 14, 2014) Inspirus has been selected as one of 2014’s Best Companies to Work for in Texas—making this the fifth consecutive year the company has received the prestigious honor. “We are honored to receive this award. It’s a real testament to our teams who are absolutely vital to the creation and stewardship of a culture that values innovation, exceptional quality and client service,” says Christopher Cheney, Executive Vice President of Operations at Inspirus.
Originally created in 2006 by the Best Companies Group—along with Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business and the Texas Society for Human Resource Management—the coveted award recognizes exceptional companies in the Lone Star State. The selection process consists of two parts. The first (which accounts for 25 percent of the total score) evaluates each nominated company’s workplace policies, systems, philosophies, practices and demographics. Part two is an anonymous engagement and satisfaction survey that asks employees to rate their employers on a broad range of criteria. The employee surveys account for 75 percent of each company’s overall score. Combined scores determined the top companies and their final ranking.
The 2014 rankings were revealed for the first time at the Best Companies to Work for in Texas event April 1, and were published in a special edition of Texas Monthly magazine.
“When a company truly cares about its people, you can feel it when you walk through the door,” says Lesa Blakey, vice president human resources and accounting. “Our employees shape our culture by nurturing one another and the clients we serve. The Inspirus culture is compassionate, innovative and collaborative—qualities that are the foundation of a great company.”
As one of the leading recognition companies in the business, it is no surprise that Inspirus cultivates an engaged and highly energized workforce. While technology is an important component of the company’s proprietary recognition process, Inspirus understands that technology is simply a tool. Beneath its successful application is a humanistic desire among employers to recognize, engage and inspire their people.
“We love what we do,” says Pete Chambers, Chairman and CEO. “It’s a feel-good business because we are able to help our clients enrich the lives and uplift the spirits of their people through meaningful moments of gratitude and recognition. Our goal is to help the companies we serve earn their own recognition for being among the ‘best places to work,’ and in the process, make the jobs of the manager and the human resources people a whole lot easier. That’s why we do what we do.”
